Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Dark days ahead
Goodbye, cruel world. At least we’ll leave beautiful corpses. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has been delayed until Spring 2016.
Yes, it is cause for mild despair. No, you shouldn’t attempt to drop your PS4 on your head out of anguish. It’ll all be okay. Naughty Dog’s next masterpiece will only get better with the extra dev time.
Originally expected to hit shelves before Christmas, Uncharted 4’s delay isn’t a colossal shock. After all, ND has previous experience when it delayed The Last Of Us, and that worked out with the game of last generation blowing us all away.
Game directors Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann have admitted A Thief’s End was, “much more ambitious than we originally envisioned,” which is what led to the, “difficult choice of pushing the game’s release date.” Still, they promise that, “come Spring 2016, you and Nate are in for one thrilling, emotional ride.” We can’t wait.
But it does leave Sony with a huge hole to plug this winter. What will fill it? No Man’s Sky? Could Killzone dev Guerrilla's rumoured robo-dinosaur project be unveiled at E3? Or… what about a tasty PS4 Uncharted Trilogy Remaster, eh?
